Todd P. Kilpatrick – Partner
Todd Kilpatrick was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1977. He graduated from the University of Puget Sound, and then attended law school at the University of Puget Sound School of Law. He has been practicing in the field of personal injury litigation for over 35 years.
His practice includes the representation of people injured in motor vehicle accidents, dog bite victims, and victims of medical malpractice. Mr. Kilpatrick has also tried several premises liability cases on behalf of persons injured in falls due to defective staircases.
Todd Kilpatrick is a charter member of Tacoma South Rotary Club, and is also a member of Pierce County Bar Association, the Washington State Bar Association, and Washington State Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Kilpatrick also regularly serves as an arbitrator with the Pierce County Superior Court on cases assigned to mandatory arbitration.
Jeanette M. Coleman – Partner
Jeanette M. Coleman was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1985. Prior to her admission to the Bar, she attended Seattle University [where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1982]. She then attended the University of Puget Sound Law School, where she graduated Cum Laude in 1985.
Ms. Coleman has over twenty five years experience in in the field of personal injury law. Her practice emphasizes the representation of dog bite victims, and the representation of people injured in automobile accidents.
Ms. Coleman is also very active in the area of dispute resolution. She serves as an Arbitrator for the Pierce County Superior Court Mandatory Arbitration Program, and also serves as a volunteer mediator for the Pierce County District Court's Center for Dispute Resolutions.
Ms. Coleman is a member of the Pierce County Bar Association, the Washington State Bar Association, and the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association.
Ms. Coleman is also a board member of the Communities in Schools of Tacoma, and is a Charter Member of the Tacoma South Rotary Club.
Christopher J. Mahoney – Partner
Christopher J. Mahoney has been with the Law Offices of Paine, Kilpatrick, Coleman & Mahoney, P.S. since the summer of 1991 (having started as a law clerk while still attending law school). Mr. Mahoney was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1993, and has remained with the law firm ever since.
Mr. Mahoney is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound School of Law in Tacoma, Washington. Prior to law school, he attended the University of Oregon where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science in 1987.
Mr. Mahoney's law practice emphasizes helping people hurt in accidents, including victims of automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, and bicycle accidents, and helping dog bite victims. He also serves as an arbitrator for the Superior Courts of Pierce County, King County, and Thurston County.
Mr. Mahoney is an active member in the Tacoma community, and strongly believes in putting people first. He served as President of the Tacoma South Rotary Club from 2012-2013, where the guiding value is "Service above Self". He previously served for several years on the Parent Advisory Committee and Site Council for the Clover Park 5-12 School (now known as the Harrison Prep Academy). He is also a member of the Pierce County Bar Association, the Washington State Bar Association and the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association.
Terry L. Paine – Of Counsel
Terry L. Paine (now retired) was a founding attorney at the Law Offices of Paine, Kilpatrick, Coleman & Mahoney, starting the practice in 1976 immediately after his admission to the Washington State Bar. Terry Paine was a graduate of the University of Puget Sound (where he received his Bachelor Degree) and earned his law degree at the University of Puget Sound School of Law.
Terry Paine practiced law on a full-time basis for almost 30 years, before retiring in May, 2006. Over the course of those years, his practice emphasized personal injury claims, particularly medical malpractice, birth injuries and automobile accidents.
Today, though he is retired from the daily practice of law, Terry Paine continues to provide advice and experience at the office on an "of counsel" basis.
Terry Paine is a lifetime resident of Tacoma, Washington, and has also served as the President of the Working Waterfront Maritime Museum. He is also a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association, the Pierce County Bar Association, and was a charter member of the Tacoma South Rotary Club.
